A face to face encounter with an Mola Mola is an experience to not be forgotten. These pelagic fish, the largest bony fish in the world, can reach over 2,000 pounds while subsisting primarily on a diet of nutritionally poor sea jellies.
These docile photogenic fish are easy to approach and are found offshore in the southern California area year round with the largest congregations appearing during the summer and fall when the water is warmest.
We offer a limited number of mola encounter opportunities each year. It you would like to experience these animals first hand send an email to: mola@horizoncharters.com to get your name placed upon our interest list.
