One of the most virgin dive destinations in the world, located 155 miles off of the Baja, California peninsula and 480 miles south of San Diego, this destination is for the true adventurer in all of us!
In 2007 and 2008 we visited Rocas Alijos Seamount twice and came away believing that this place is well worth the trip! Huge schools of yellowfin tuna, prowling wahoo, green sea turtles, 8 foot wingspan mobulas, whale sharks, Galapagos sharks and hammerhead sharks plus a plethora of panamic Baja reef species! Plus, in both of our visits we had visibility in excess of 100 feet and quite often approaching 150 feet!
So far, Rocas Alijos Seamount has met and exceeded all of our expectations. But diving here is not for everyone, you'll need experience diving in current, depth and open ocean conditions...plus a keen sense of adventure!
So turn on the adrenaline, fire up the Nitrox and let's go dive and freedive Rocas Alijos!
