Dive Itinerary : Baja's Guadalupe Island

Guadalupe Island, one of the eastern Pacific's most electric destinations in the class with the Revillagigedos, Cocos and Galapagos. We've ventured forth to Guadalupe on an annual basis since 1994, and have explored the undersea beauty of this ecologically amazing island more than any other dive tour operator.

Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 1 - Welcome Aboard!
After an early morning boarding, we will cast off the lines and make our way out of San Diego Harbor...Guadalupe Island here we come!

Today is a day at sea, keep your binoculars and camera handy as encounters with dolphin and whales are not uncommon. We will also make a quick stop 13 miles south of San Diego at Baja's Coronado Islands to take having the opportunity to view sea lion colonies, harbor seals and multiple species of bird nesting sites as we cruise past.

Days 2 - 8 Isla Guadalupe!

You will want to be up at daylight as Guadalupe will appear on the horizon just after sunrise. The next 7 days will find you exploring Guadalupe's underwater beauty as a mixture of temperate California and panamic Baja's fish species call the beautiful underwater scenery home.

California sea lions, northern elephant seals and Guadalupe fur seals will appear to fly in the crystal clear water with visibility often in excess of 100 feet. We've found sights were you will bottlenosed dolphinhave the opportunity to experience all three pinnipeds, possibly on the same dive!

A night dive at Guadalupe is not to be missed as long as you have the energy. Night dives will be offered on a couple nights. Clouds of Guadalupe cardinalfish, free swimming moray eels, lobster, horned sharks and octopi are in abundance during these dives.

During the night while at Guadalupe, the Captain will quite often turn off most of 'Horizon's' external lighting for two reasons:
