Your San Diego sportfishing adventure starts right here. Our helpful crew members will show you to your vessel accommodations in San Diego and get you settled into your sportfishing home away from home for the next few days. Ship orientation and departure is today.
On the day of your departure, please arrive at the dock two hours early allowing time to check in, board our vessel and get settled in. As the boat leaves the port, the Captain and crew will have an orientation to introduce everyone, go over safety equipment and outline what to expect for the duration of your trip. Depending on the length of trip, the first few days may be spent traveling to your destination, trolling along the way.

Flying into San Diego?
We make booking a multi-day sportfishing adventure in San Diego easy, with vessel located just 15 minutes from the San Diego International airport at H and M Landing.
No need to book a hotel, your air conditioned floating home away from home with chef prepared meals and professional fishing crew is minutes away. We are the perfect sportfishing vacation destination for the entire West Coast and beyond.
Day 2
Sunrise breaks on the blue green Pacific ocean and the first of many breakfasts are served from our galley chef as we are enroute to our favorite fishing sites. This is the time to get to know our helpful crew, ask them questions about fishing styles, gear, tackle and more.
In most cases we are knocking on kelp paddys on the way for yellowtail or mahi and keeping an eye out for surface action, fishing where the fish are. On longer range trips we may be sailing into the night.
Our charters are flexible and go where the fish are. We may limit out and decide to chase or other species. Our goal is to get you into fish with our knowledgeable crew.

Day 3
Welcome to your sportfishing charter experience we are fishing again today.
Typical day starts with breakfast at sunrise and runs late into the night when the fish are biting. In between tight lines, and decks covered in fish we serve lunch and dinner, you get to choose when you want to eat before we get into rod bending action again.
Along the way keep an eye out for whales and dolphins that we almost always see on every trip. Sunsets at sea are not to be missed, as are night time bites when the stars fill the skies.

Day 4
Day three fishing, offshore fishing grounds we are into the good stuff.
Sport fishers onboard are practically family now and the fishing routine is well established. In between awesome chef prepared meals and hot showers onboard we will continue catch fish until we limit out and head home.
The experienced MV Horizon crew employs kite fishing chunking, dragging lures and trolling looking for jig sites that are productive. .
When the fish are biting organized chaos happens on our decks, with professional crews working with you to land your fish. They will be carefully processed on board and placed in our specialized RSW fishing hold so they remain pristine for your return journey home.

Day 5
Last day at sea and time to go after whatever we can get onboard for you until we slip back into San Diego. It’s a busy day for us onboard ensuring we have gone the extra mile for you on this sportfishing adventure.
